Central Australian Rally Sports Club

Founded in the late 1970s, the Central Australian Rally Sports Club (CARS) was formerly known as the Central Australian Sporting Car Association. It became affiliated with Motorsport Australia and Motorsports NT in 2015 and now hosts around 10 rally events each year between March and November.

Located adjacent to the Alice Springs Inland Dragway and the Finke Desert Race facilities, CARS hosts regular dirt-based rally events but also utilises off-site facilities.

CARS activities include Motorkhana and Khanacross, Autocross, Rally Sprint, and other grassroots motorsport formats. The club also maintains a leased clubhouse on George Street, shared with other users. The off-site venue provides safe vehicle storage and a central location for social events and meetings.
