Central Australian Drag Racing Association

Alice Springs Inland Dragway “ASID” built by local volunteers and businesses opened in 2008. It is located next to the Stuart Highway, 15 km south of Alice Springs, alongside the Finke Desert Race start line. ASID is operated by the Central Australian Drag Racing Association Inc. (CADRA) and is affiliated with the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA).

ASID includes a full ¼ mile drag strip with a braking zone, continuous concrete safety barriers, and LED lighting systems that support both day and night operations. Spectator facilities run alongside the first 1/8 mile of the track, and the venue is fully sanctioned by the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA).
