MotorSports NT extends a very warm welcome to a newly affiliated motorsports club, that being the Alice Springs Off Road Race Club. This brings our total affiliation of motorsport clubs to thirteen, more than 100% increase since MotorSports NT’s inception in 2007.

On Tuesday the 26th of January Top End Mud Racing were awarded the:
Darwin Community Event of the Year 2010
This award was presented by the Darwin City Council at the Australia Day Flag raising ceremony. This is a highly prestigious award and was awarded in recognition of the commitment of all of the members to giving back to the community. This is an award for all of our members and you should all be extremely proud of this achievement.

CENTRAL AUSTRALIAN DRAG RACING ASSOC HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2009
Highlights for 2009
- Trans Tasman Drag Bike Challenge in June. A total of 65 racers made their way from New Zealand and all over Australia to compete in the first race of the Deluxe Freight Systems Trans Tasman Drag Bike Challenge, and the very impressive crowd was treated to some fast, action-packed racing with 8 Nitro bikes and a host of other brackets.
- 1320X Inaugural filming in July. The team from Frazzica Productions made their way to Alice Springs in Mid July to do the inaugural filming of 1320X, a new reality tv series featuring grass roots drag racing, which will be shown in Australia and the USA.
- Al Stainer Memorial - Easter Meeting. Alice Springs Inland Dragway celebrated it's one-year anniversary as Australia's newest 1/4 mile dragstrip over Easter Long Weekend. Officially named the Al Stainer Memorial Drags by CADRA, this promised to be a memorable meeting, and it didn’t disappoint. 48 racers from Alice and around the country competed for trophies in 4 car and 2 bike brackets. The racers and the weather really turned it on for the Alice Springs crowd! With several new supercharged cars out on the track making licence runs, the action never stopped
- Alice Springs Titles in August. 50 plus racers took part in this years Alice Springs Titles on the 1st & 2nd August with competitors from Darwin to Port Pirie and a few places in between headed to the Alice to compete in the 6 car and 2 bike brackets. A great weekend of racing was had by all.
- Matty Watts coming 2nd in the Championship for Supercharged Outlaws Class. There is nothing better than pushing your car to the limit and getting results. Matty Watts, driving the Guy Watts Motorsport altered has been doing just that around the Australian circuit, collecting points wherever he went. He fell just short of the National Championship, however, at the Winternationals this year and took out a well deserved second place.
